If you want your wedding day to be intimate, meaningful, and wildly beautiful, there’s no better place to do it than Tuscany. When you elope in Tuscany, you get rolling hills, golden light, ancient villages, and the kind of calm that lets you actually enjoy every second of your day.
Whether you want a simple ceremony in the hills, a luxurious multi-day celebration, or an adventure from sunrise to sunset, this guide walks you through everything you need to know.
Eloping in Tuscany gives you the freedom to create a day that reflects you. No timelines packed with things you don’t care about. Just slow mornings, beautiful landscapes, and experiences you’ll remember forever. You can say visit beautiful Tuscan towns in the morning, sip wine in a vineyard by afternoon, and finish the day with your vows on the hills at sunrise.

Spring (April–June) and fall (September–October) are ideal — less crowded, golden light, and perfect weather for exploring. Summer can be hot and busy, but early morning or evening ceremonies still work beautifully. Also, eloping within the week is also less crowded and cheaper.
Want soft light and fewer tourists? Plan for sunrise or sunset ceremonies. You can even build a multi-day elopement to explore Tuscany at your own pace.
Tuscany offers so many dreamy backdrops — it’s hard to choose just one. The good news? You don’t have to. You can visit multiple places within a full day or multi-day elopement!

When you choose a wedding dress, the key aspect is that you feel good in it! In Tuscany, depending on the location, elegant dresses and more romantic dresses work both quite well. Make sure you have comfortable shoes. Cobblestones are real and wandering on Tuscan hills on heels can be quite complicated. Layers are great for early mornings or cooler evenings. If you are considering wearing a veil, I do recommend having one! It makes the whole look more weddingly and from photography standpoint it makes all photos stand out much more! You don’t have to wear it at all times 😉
Pro tip: Choose outfits that work well for movement—dancing in a field, walking through villages, or hopping on a Vespa.
Here are two inspo-pics for you of bride Monika who wore an elegant dress for Florence and Pienza and a more romantic lace dress for the hills of Tuscany.
